Weekly Self-Promotion Thread – March 13, 2019

Self-promotion (ie posting about projects/businesses that you operate and can profit from) is typically a practice that is discouraged in /r/financialindependence, and these posts are removed through moderation. This is a thread where those rules *do not* apply. **However**, please do not post referral links in this thread.

Use this thread to talk about your blog, talk about your business, ask for feedback, etc. If the self-promotion starts to leak outside of this thread, we will once again return to a time where 100% of self-promotion posts are banned. Please use this space wisely.

**Link-only posts will be removed. Put some effort into it.**

I created an easy retirement calculator to help people see how much they need to save for retirement.

I also created a contact lens price comparison website to help people find the lowest prices for their contact lenses.

This week’s article is a fun one covering how much we’ve spent by keeping our old shitty car on the road compared to what we would have spent on a newer, more reliable car. We also make comparisons between buying new, buying used, and buying beaters.

One of my latest posts is a collection of money saving challenges that you can use to build up your savings quickly and establish good habits. There are several printables in the post that you can use if you want to track.
